the Company. . .

BREAKFAST WOODWORKS is a top- flight woodworking facility with the team, the equipment, the experience, the track record and the commitment to bring about the ultimate in custom architectural millwork.

BREAKFAST WOODWORKS is also your assurance that the translation of design into substance fully measures up to the concept.

And that includes every aspect of delivering a smooth job: prompt estimates, a thorough contract description of the work, final details, site inspection, and measurement. Confirmation of appliance specifications and color selection. And continuing contact with the client so that schedules are met and coordinated.

Accountability: When a job starts there is one person, the project manager, in charge and he follows it through to the end. This includes all client contacts as well as delivery and the actual construction.

We are the definitive realizers. In our product, the craftsmanship measures up to the concept. And every inch of the detailing reflects our relentless pursuit of perfection. And pleasure: we live in our work, and see ourselves reflected in it.

the Founders . . .

Louis Mackall makes dreams come true. His own designs or yours. A Master Architect from Yale, he co-founded BREAKFAST WOODWORKS with Ken Field as a way to realize designs no other shop could build.

In the course of more than two decades, a rare synergy of people, experience, connections, and equipment has been created.

His far-ranging works include residences, office and commercial interiors, churches, and historic preservation projects.

The quality of his work has won him worldwide publicity - including feature articles in ARCHITECTURAL RECORD and PROGRESSIVE ARCHITECTURE, HOUSE AND GARDEN and HOUSE BEAUTIFUL, the NEW YORK TIMES SUNDAY MAGAZINE and the NEW YORK TIMES HOME DESIGN section. German and Japanese publications have featured his work.

A respected teacher, he has taught at and acts as a visiting critic with the Yale School of Architecture, the University of Houston, the University of Pennsylvania and with the Boston University program of artisanry.

Kenneth Field, a master craftsman, is the other principal in BREAKFAST WOODWORKS. He is the realizer - bringing complex shapes to three dimensional life, using age-old skills, high technology and innovative procedures.

He is the heart of fabrication and quality assurance. Our reputation, built up over the years for superlative workmanship and painstaking detailing are among his proudest possessions.

The artisans selected, trained, and supervised by Ken Field exemplify the highest skill levels obtainable anywhere - and their complimentary specialties act in synergy to create a truly outstanding woodworking facility.

Hands-on expertise: each principal is versed in all phases of the work, from computer input through cutting, boring assembly, finish, and delivery.
